To log in again, you can use the same login option that you used when you registered. In case you have logged in with an email and password, you can also use your login name which is provided in the the profile screen of your app. If you can’t log in with any of the options available, just send us an email to email@example.com.
You can only change it after logging into your Excedo account. Once you have logged in, go to the profile screen and then tap the icon on the top right corner to edit. There you can change your nickname, country and your profession.
To activate your Excedo account you need an invitation from Excedo that will be sent to the email address registered by your company or institution.
Once you have the invitation follow the instructions and activate your account from your smartphone. To see more information on how to activate your account please open the instructions PDF attached to the invitation.
During this course you will interact with other learners who are just like you; business professionals who want to improve their business communication skills and cross-cultural knowledge in order to communicate with Westerners! You will also meet your Coach who at the end of each module will help you apply the communication skill that you’ve learned.
If you are learning with Excedo Care+, you will work with an Assistant Coach in your Preparation activity to help you prepare for the role-play session with your Coach, where you will improve your business communication skills.

The role-play sessions, as well as Preparation, have been designed to be completed in pairs. If your learning partner can’t make it to the scheduled session, Riku will help you in Preparation and you will work directly with your Coach in your role-play.
We have a strict data protection policy to protect our learners and coaches.
Recordings are held for 14 days for internal QA purposes and in case any problems arise for which they are needed.
They are not available for general review.
You need to contact your company or institution and make the proper request and once it is approved by them, they will inform us the courses that will be added to your learning programme.
In your courses screen you will find all the courses offered by your learning program. Once you finish the current course, one of the courses that appears as locked will be activated. The courses that are shown as not available are because they have not been added by your company or institution to your learning program.
You can access the lessons that you have already completed through the Library that you will find in the Simulations page on the bottom right of your app. Remember that the score you obtained for each course is final and cannot be changed by repeating the lessons.
If you want a quick way to practice the phrases you’ve learnt in each simulation, you can review the Essentials as many times as you need.
If you meet the necessary conditions to obtain the report, you will receive it in the registered email in PDF format.
You will need a password to open the report (attached PDF).
The password is your login ID for the Excedo app. You can find your login ID in your profile menu in the Excedo app, which is located at the bottom of the screen on the left side.
Depending on the number of courses in your program, you will receive one or two progress reports with a summary of your performance.
If you have 5 or more courses you will receive a report six months after starting your program.
If you have at least 10 courses you will receive another report twelve months after starting your program.
The activities in lessons are self-study. You do these activities on your own. In Preparation, you will interact with an Assistant Coach, who will help you prepare for the role-play with your Coach.

In Module 4, you will practice everything you have learnt in the previous modules by applying the communication skills you’ve acquired in a Case Study during your role-play. Practising in a new context will help you improve your confidence and capability to apply your business communication skills learnt with Excedo in real world situations. In Module 4 there is no Preparation activity.
It is very important that you try to complete the Preparation tasks within 30 minutes. The session with your Coach will start after 30 minutes whether you finish your Preparation activity or not. If you’re unable to complete your activity in time, let your Coach know when you meet with them.
If your partner does not show up within 5 minutes after the Preparation activity starts, Riku will join you and help you prepare for the role-play.
The role-play sessions, as well as Preparation for Excedo Care+, have been designed to be completed 1:1. An Assistant Coach will help you in Preparation and you will work directly with your Coach in your role-play.
After each course, your Coach will assess your business communication skills and give you a score.
Depending upon your score, you can earn a gold, silver or bronze badge.
Based on your program and the badges you’ve earned, you will receive a certificate at the end of your full 10 course programme.
You have to complete 4 steps in every module. First, you need to schedule a time when you will meet your learning partner and your Coach. We recommend you book as soon as you start every module.
Then, you will learn about a specific business communication skill with bite-sized 5 minute micro-lessons. This part will take you about 90 minutes (around 20 minutes each day). You need to complete all of your lessons before you meet your Coach.
Next, you will chat with another learner, in the first part of the time you scheduled, to prepare for a role-play with your Coach. This part will take you about 30 minutes. If you are learning with Excedo Care+, one of Excedo’s Assistant Coaches will help you prepare.
Finally, you will practice the business communication skill in the role-play, facilitated by your Coach. This is the second part of the time you booked and it will take you about 30 minutes in Modules 1, 2, and 3, and 45 minutes in Module 4. If you are learning with Excedo Care+, it will take you about 30 minutes in all modules.

For each role-play you might have a different Coach. You will be able to see your Coach’s profile a few minutes before starting your session.
All our Coaches are qualified professionals with a range of business experience as well as English language teaching qualifications. Some of the Coaches are native English speakers, and some are from countries all over the world.
If you have a problem during your Preparation activity or during role-play, please contact Riku by going back to the Launcher and type “help”.
If you have a technical problem and it cannot be solved, you will automatically receive a new link to book a new session.
If you can’t finish your lessons on-time, you can book a new session through the To-Do list menu by tapping ‘Rebook your session’. You can do this once if it is more than 24 hours from your meeting time.
If you haven’t completed all of your lessons 1 hour before your meeting time, your meeting will be automatically cancelled and you will be given up to 3 options for rebooking.
Please keep in mind that you can only rebook once. If you miss your meeting twice, you will be moved to the next module.
If you can’t attend your scheduled session, you can reschedule your session through the To-Do list menu by tapping ‘Rebook your session’.
In the first 24 hours after booking, you can do this unlimited times. After the first 24 hours you can only reschedule once, as long as it’s done with more than 24 hours before your meeting time.
Before confirming to cancel your current session, you can review up to 3 available options to reschedule. If you cannot attend any of the available options, check again later.
If you do not join your rescheduled session because your lessons are not completed, you will be moved to the next module.
If you complete all the lessons on time but don’t show up, you will be moved to the next module.
Try to complete your modules on time and don’t let your learning partner down!
Five minutes before the start of your session you will be able to see your partner’s profile in the app.
At the beginning of each module or course you will see a booking calendar where you can choose your preferred date and time from the available options.
We recommend you book your session as soon as possible, since the available options are limited and may be booked by other learners.
The booking range you will see will depend on your progress. If you are on track with your programme you will see a normal range between 5 to 7 days, but if you aren’t on track you will see a range to catch-up between 3 to 5 days.

・Make sure the audio and video buttons are active during the session
・Make sure that all other programs that utilize the camera are not using the it or are closed
・To ensure the best experience it is better to use cable connection during the session. In case you use WiFi, please run a speed test.
You can take the session from your computer, tablet or smartphone depending on your preference.
One hour before your scheduled time you will receive an email with a link to join the session. Please avoid using Internet Explorer browser, we recommend you use Chrome, Mozilla, Safari, Opera and Microsoft edge.
In case you prefer to take the session from your smartphone, you need to access it through the link that you will receive in the Excedo app.
You need a mobile device to use the Excedo app. Use of computers and laptops is only supported for joining your role-play.

・Make sure that Excedo has access to your camera and microphone.
・Make sure your mobile device isn’t in silent mode.

・Turn off your smartphone for at least 30 seconds, then restart it

If you have finished an activity but you are not directed to the next one quickly, please ask Riku to help.
Please note that if you have just completed the Role-Play session your Coach will need to grade you, and this might take up to 5 minutes before you can progress to the next Module.
You can always tell us about the problem by shaking your phone or tapping the Support option in your Profile screen.
This could be associated with a connectivity problem or a phone memory issue. Close the Excedo app, start it again, and access your lesson again.
It is better to use Excedo using a Wi-Fi internet connection.
